I just downloaded firefox and love it, its really amazing.

thanks for your comments

I try firefox 3 and i notice that it is the superior browser it has a  new features to  make browsing the Web easier, faster, safer, and easier to customize  and the memory leak problem seems to have been fixed.

Firefox is Number 1 among all the Web Browser because it provides good shortcuts and speeds the internet and have got virtual look. I was using Internet explorer before which was good to be use, However when i loaded Firefox i found its excellent because in past Internet explorer haven't got the add tab feature and now they also got in Latest versions of Internet explorer. Now i got the habit to work on Firefox and it's good enough for me to use.

We need also faster updates for Unix/Linux OS and we need MAC support! I have a MacOSx and would like to use firefox but i have not found a solution yet :/

I agree, Firefox is a browser and I recently changed to Firefox and I really like it. Internet Explorer seems to be behind in terms of technology. If you are looking for a great web browser with up to date and user friendly interface, then get Firefox!

I have installed Internet Explorer 8 although it has major improvements, firefox is still the best browser right now

I also participated in spreading the firefox. I've been using firefox eversince I laid my eyes on it.

All the best Firefox,  I know the team can make it to have a one billion download.  This is the best browser I ever used, because it is so user friendly.  Goodluck!

This goal should be met...after all Firefox is one of the most user-friendly and configurable browsers on the market today.

Really Firefox is a wonderful program. I like it very much.

I think Firefox will do, its a amazing product with some many plug-ins that just make it better. Keep it going guys!

I definitely think we will make it. I just recently changed to Firefox from IE which I had been using for years and there is no comparison - Firefox Rules!

I think that Firefox could really accomplish this. I use Firefox and I know a ton of other people that use it as well. Tommy

good luck! I hope we can do it!

Really this is just my starting and I like the community a lot

I would like to say thanks in the starting for giving me a chance to share and learn thoughts and revies from this website

I like the idea..good luck.

I love it. The best version by far.

Congrats Firefox! Keep up the good work! -

It is nice idea with this world record issue:) I think it will be a nice way to spread FFox far further!

When is the deadline for downloading FF?

In FAQ, link to http://twitter.com/mozillafirefox who says : Download Day starts at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on uesday, June 17th. Another link for local time :

A solid way to promote the fox would be to get Obama to hop on board. A few mentions of why its important, how it cuts down on "spam and viruses" would prompt millions of installs!

I'd rather politics stay out of FireFox. I hope Obama reference was a joke, since  matter how anybody feels about him I don't think a presidential endorsement is needed to spread the "greatest browser yet." I'm sure it would get some press, but I don't think it's appropriate no matter who you support, you could run off people who either strongly agree or disagree with his views.

The count on downloads (at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord ) seem to be unchanged all day. Does anyone know if there is a more reliable real-time count, and if so what would be the URL? Also, the values displayed in the SWF interactive map does not match what is shown on a country by country basis. For example when you have the mouse over the United States it displays 7734930. When you select the United States in the pull down list the value displayed is 8580651. The question is, which is correct? Having accurate and up to date information is important, especially since the world is looking at this information.

Well, it has been some time now.
When will we know whether the world record has been set or not?

I don't care about the World Record. Firefox will ALWAYS be my preferred Web Browser. It got a record of preference FOR ME !!!

All right, I suppose that the fact that there are no downloads in one specific country is not really a reason to bash the population of that country (at least in the instance of North Korea) but come on Sololmaon Islands!!! Wake up!! And to those of you in North Korea, just try getting a wireless connection from South Korea. :D EnigmaEntity

My download resulted in the hijacking of my system. I was unable to use any browser, not even IE. As much as I support Firefox and will continue to do so - I'm using it now as I type this - before Firefox 3 all was fine, after the download - Trojan and no browsers. Fixed now thanks to a techie coming to my rescue. But not impressed.

sorry doublepost  while lagg :(

I downloaded Firefox 3 and got simply the best browser ever.
It seems that you are a Microsoft employee or you might be a fan of other Browser...
No trojans, no system hijack, just the BEST BROWSER, even better than before.

Are you a Microsoft employee?

i dunno if this is a widespread problem, but when you post a comment, at least of my party page (PARTYPARTYPARTY) it appears to place it at a random location in the page...

anyway, it would be nice to get it fixed

Unfortunaly i thinks that this record will not be accepted . And just with ONE argument i can prove this...

Lithuania is a country that has a population of about 3.5 million ... And Mozilla it's showing that te cuntry had about 300000downloads till now . Anyone that know the country will see that is impossible this numbers .

Just because of it i don't belive more in the record and i think guiness will not too ...

I know the free software community n Lithuania and can easily belive the results. They had huge promotion compaign and huge mass media coverage for this and have very, very impressive free software penetration. I am surprised that Estonia is not higher on the list.

You should consider that people may have more than one computer :)

Don't burn with envy - it's normal, because it's download day, but not population day

just be-careful,the reason he/she mention aren't helping anything

this is the world record of the " most download in a day"

but "not"!!!"not"  one indiviual person, can download only one time  and make of the most download in a day...
XD.
which meant if i :[ "only a single person "  complete download it 10000 time and it will add to it with no problem!!]
it might also have something to do with IP -gateway?
anyway,i download once ,and my will possibly add to UK^^

or is there some rule down there? to make one person per count????don't know, haven't read the long bits of it.

I have been using FF3 for quite awhile now, so have got used to it as it's developed so not big suprises for me but I wish they would add some of the music browsing capabilities from this mozilla project http://getsongbird.com/ (It's a scorcher!) this app is essentially FF geared up for music browsing and downloading and well worth trying for anyone who at anytime ever has used the web to listen to music on more that one occasion!Sorry to hijack on this a momentous day for FF, but this is also an occasion for all that is mozilla and opensource. Eh?

Hey all,
I don't think the map with al the colors (determined by the number of downloads per country) isn't really representative. For example, the US has got 302 million citizens with only 2.2 million downloads (1 download per 138 citizens)
The Netherlands has got 16 million citizens with 115.000 downloads, ratio is more or less the same as US ;-) Lot's of countries are colored blue or yellow although the ratio is quite high. It would be nice to make a final list of the countries with the highest ratio instead of downloads as well.
Greets to all of you!
Xander (ofcourse citizen of the Netherlands ;-)

Actually, the US has a population of 330+ million, not counting the 20+ million illegals that they don't know what to do with, if they could ever find them and according to Stats, approx. one person out of 100 has a home PC, for one reason or another AND, many others have been brain-washed by Microslop, therefore are bent on using Internet Exploder.  Silly people!!

If you think Experts are Expensive, wait 'til you see how much Amateurs will cost you!

Here is a very incomplete list of the firefox3 penetration in each country (aka percentage of downloads/population).
Seems Lithuania "cheated" a bit or is very enthusiastic about firefox 3 ;)

  1. Lithuania 9.76%
  2. USA 1.07%
  3. Germany 1.06%
  4. Canada 0.88%
  5. Sweden 0.88%
  6. Poland 0.65%
  7. Japan 0.43%
  8. Russia 0.09%
  9. China 0.02%

I recon thats a great idea so that we can see percentage adoption. Also I think that many other conclusions could be drawn if the firefox guys released an indepth analysis chart at the end of downloading.
