Kung Fu Panda's Shifu: Is He a Firefox!?
Posted November 19th, 2008 by SawyerJust watched the movie on DVD "Kung Fu Panda", very cool story. One of the characters is a teacher named Master Shifu who looks to be a Fox. The story takes place in China; where the real Firefox, named the Chinese Red Panda lives today. I think the "fox" is supposed to be an Old Firefox. What do you think? Yes or No?

700 million Firefox downloads
Posted November 3rd, 2008 by ottodvAnother multiple 100 million milestone has passed, just in time for Firefox' 4th anniversary on November 9th.

New Points System - Downloads not Counted
Posted October 6th, 2008 by CouponsAfter the new points system was put into place, I noticed that I had not received any new points for a couple days. I knew that the system had been changed to count downloads instead of clicks. I send thousands of clicks with the Spread Firefox affiliate links daily, so it seemed strange that not a single person had downloaded.

Posted September 16th, 2008 by FlashpaperWhen entering an inventory item in ProStores, FireFox 3 cannot interact with the "Breif Description" and "Logn Description" fields. The fields are simply inaccessible. Possibly this is because those fields are using some sort of GUI for formatting the text that goes into those particular fields.

nofollow tag in top 250
Posted September 1st, 2008 by firefoxmehi all,
im new here and maybe this has been already discussed, but today i found that those links at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/affiliates/top_250 have the "nofollow" tag associated to each them, so basically useless for SE purposes.
Back to basics
Posted August 28th, 2008 by FirefoxRocks3Maybe it is time again to find out why promote Firefox. No, let me rephrase that, why should the average user use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer? We are marketing Firefox to the average user, since developers and such usually have Firefox already. So therefore, a point like Firefox supports application/xhtml+xml documents will mean nothing to the average user.
Firefox Bar, a new way to spread our favorite browser
Posted August 27th, 2008 by damienallenI have created the "Firefox Bar". Basically, it's a bar that fades into the top of your browser window if you are not running Firefox. It has a download link for Firefox (sFX in this case), a link to the FFBar site and a close link. I use a cookie to make sure it stays closed for the session. I am also in the process of creating a Wordpress plugin (beta right now).

Affiliates Program - New Stuff!
Posted July 16th, 2008 by jcheaHey everyone!
We've been busy working on improving the Affiliates Program here on Spread Firefox and we rolled out some things this week that I wanted to share with all of you:
monetary reward program
Posted July 16th, 2008 by web browsersOffering a t-shirt in exchange for points isn't very serious, and the top 250 links page doesn't count for much because of the nofollow tags. I think if you want to motivate existing affiliates and bring professional internet marketers on board you really need to provide a monetary reward program. Reading the other comments in these forums I see some people are asking questions like "what are the use of the points?" and "do we get paid?".
My suggestion is that affiliates should be rewarded an amount that's at least 30% of the expected 1st years average profit on each of their conversions. The soon to be discontinued adsense referral program for firefox / google toolbar combination seems to pay approximately 75c per conversion.
The payment isn't just about profit, but also about reimbursing affiliates for advertising costs in promoting firefox as well as paying due recognition to affiliates for sacrificing their precious time. A more reasonable compensation program is going to result in more time, effort and money directed towards promoting firefox.
Alternative ideas, disagreements or agreements welcome....
Regards,
Wayne

Am I going to forget about them?
Or am I going to use one of my other browsers (no, not IE) which DOES like them?

Not my default
Posted June 10th, 2008 by NickySo I made Firefox my default browser. But my wife insists on using A-O-Hell. When I send her a link she clicks on it and it just uses the built in browser and never calls on Firefox. I guess that's one reason some people don't switch, they're used to the crap that came with their online software. And be honest, it's a hassle to have the extra step to copy the link and switch over to Firefox.

Venezuela 5000 comprometidos.
Poblacion de 26 millones de habitantes.

May I translate the homepage of "Spread Firefox | Download Day 2008" into Traditional Chinese (zh-HK/TW)?
Posted June 7th, 2008 by cehkI don't know help to help this event in my country.
But I can translate English into Traditional Chinese (that is differ with zh-CN, and use in Hong Kong, Tawian ) of this page: http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord
I think that is the only way that I can help in this event. But how can I do this? And does this website need this kind of translation?

FF3 Download Day, How Many?
Posted June 6th, 2008 by lithioAlready there is about 800,000 compromised to collaborate in the Firefox 3 Download Day. But, really ¿how many downloads would be needed to reach the record of downloads in 24 hours?

Which feature of FF DONT you like?
Posted June 6th, 2008 by XERXESSomewhere in the lifespan of a Mozilla user, he/she will come to a point where he/she will ask him/herself "Why did I download Firefox and why am I so impressed every damn time I open the browser?"
There could be thousands of explanations, but the best answer would simply be, it's a damn good browser!

When did YOU start using Firefox?
Posted June 5th, 2008 by XERXESAs I walked home today, my mind drifted into Mozilla bliss, and I tried to recall the day that I started using Firefox...
As you may think, I was unable to find the exact date or time. I know why. The first time I downloaded it, I downed it because
I was tired. Tired of Microsoft's over-expensive licensing of their products. Mostly, I was just tired of Internet Explorer,

Firefox group on LinkedIn
Posted June 5th, 2008 by FoeseHi,
as an IT guy, and Firefox addict, i decided to create a group called "Firefox Addicts" and "Thunderbird Addicts" on LinkedIn.
With this networking site being a big one for professional networking, i thought this would be a good idea.
Anyone who wants to join, just go to my profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/stevenhemelaere

Will installing Firefox on all computers at my school count?
Posted May 30th, 2008 by FernjerkleI was reading the rules when I got to the part where they log the downloads. If I put a copy on every computer at my school will it count only as one? Or will each download count individually. I'd like to know before actually doing it.
