Just watched the movie on DVD "Kung Fu Panda", very cool story.  One of the characters is a teacher named Master Shifu who looks to be a Fox.  The story takes place in China; where the real Firefox, named the Chinese Red Panda lives today.  I think the "fox" is supposed to be an Old Firefox.  What do you think?  Yes or No?

One beautiful September morning there was a large envolope in my mailbox that had come all the way from California..

After the new points system was put into place, I noticed that I had not received any new points for a couple days. I knew that the system had been changed to count downloads instead of clicks. I send thousands of clicks with the Spread Firefox affiliate links daily, so it seemed strange that not a single person had downloaded.
 

I have noticed that Mozilla Thunderbird doesn't get enough credit for it's amazing features. I have used all sorts of Email Clients (Even Commercial), and never did I get the easy, tidy, professional, and quite often the FREE experience that I get from Mozilla Thunderbird.

I checked my points today and I only have 653 points. However, I am in the Top Fox Movers with 1682 slots. How is this possible? Were points deleted from my account? I know that I have more than 653 points.

Some school districts are starting to use Firefox however, some districts don't even know what Firefox is.  I think Firefox should be introduced as the default browser and perhaps even the official browser of all campuses and school districts.  Email me if you support this idea.   mts15@yahoo.com

Today marks my fourth year in Spread Firefox :)

When entering an inventory item in ProStores, FireFox 3 cannot interact with the "Breif Description" and "Logn Description" fields. The fields are simply inaccessible. Possibly this is because those fields are using some sort of GUI for formatting the text that goes into those particular fields.

I knew there had to be an affiliate program somewhere for keeping track of how many people have downloaded Firefox from your website referral. Not to make money, but just to know if people actually download after clicking thru. Can't complain about having perks though :D
 

some websites (such as myspace) now have flash ads, and when you right click their is no option to block the ad or to block all ads from user, an option to firefox i greatly appreciated. is there some way for the firefox team to let us block these ads?

Google's "Chrome" browser is IN beta!  Wikipedia.  Is Chrome, Firefox based  or Safari rendered?  Is google's recent contract with Mozilla( Firefox for/as and of) til 2011 for some sum of something like a totally total of =~ $57 Million / a .year/!

im new here and maybe this has been already discussed, but today i found that those links at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/affiliates/top_250 have the "nofollow" tag associated to each them, so basically useless for SE purposes.

Maybe it is time again to find out why promote Firefox. No, let me rephrase that, why should the average user use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer? We are marketing Firefox to the average user, since developers and such usually have Firefox already. So therefore, a point like Firefox supports application/xhtml+xml documents will mean nothing to the average user.

I have created the "Firefox Bar". Basically, it's a bar that fades into the top of your browser window if you are not running Firefox. It has a download link for Firefox (sFX in this case), a link to the FFBar site and a close link. I use a cookie to make sure it stays closed for the session. I am also in the process of creating a Wordpress plugin (beta right now).

We've been busy working on improving the Affiliates Program here on Spread Firefox and we rolled out some things this week that I wanted to share with all of you:

Offering a t-shirt in exchange for points isn't very serious, and the top 250 links page doesn't count for much because of the nofollow tags. I think if you want to motivate existing affiliates and bring professional internet marketers on board you really need to provide a monetary reward program. Reading the other comments in these forums I see some people are asking questions like "what are the use of the points?" and "do we get paid?".
My suggestion is that affiliates should be rewarded an amount that's at least 30% of the expected 1st years average profit on each of their conversions. The soon to be discontinued adsense referral program for firefox / google toolbar combination seems to pay approximately 75c per conversion.
The payment isn't just about profit, but also about reimbursing affiliates for advertising costs in promoting firefox as well as paying due recognition to affiliates for sacrificing their precious time. A more reasonable compensation program is going to result in more time, effort and money directed towards promoting firefox.
Alternative ideas, disagreements or agreements welcome....

Please Help. I have installed firefox 3 after useing FF1 & 2. Along with the install it installed Google toolbar. Now every time I load FF it goes to toolbar.google.com/T4/done.html and sticks. I cannot press stop. It stops responding. I am using IE (shudder) to write this. I have uninstalled, restarted but still nothing. Can someone please help

The Spreadfox button URLs contain unencoded ampersands that cause HTML validation to fail. To use a literal ampersand in a valid HTML document it must be encoded as "&" even inside URLs!. Would somebody please change all the button codes to have encoded ampersands.

I am not big on add-ons, but there are a few that I like, especially the Care2 search bar, the Media-DICO search bar (a French-English dictionary). I have been using them for a few years now, without any problems.

So I made Firefox my default browser. But my wife insists on using A-O-Hell. When I send her a link she clicks on it and it just uses the built in browser and never calls on Firefox. I guess that's one reason some people don't switch, they're used to the crap that came with their online software. And be honest, it's a hassle to have the extra step to copy the link and switch over to Firefox.

I was reading the rules when I got to the part where they log the downloads. If I put a copy on every computer at my school will it count only as one? Or will each download count individually. I'd like to know before actually doing it.
